Some friends of my parents bought a bay panel van when I was about 6. They made a camper interior themselves and we used to go on trips to Norfolk and the south coast with them. I decided that I would get a bay panel van when I was old enough to drive.

I had a Mini first, then a 1302S, then a MK2 Golf GTi. After getting made redundant I got a panel van - not a bay though... I went for a T4 instead as it's like driving a big Mk4 Golf (it's warm and got power steering).

When I first got the T4 I dropped it and got a 'lite' camper interior fitted in the back. Alloys and bumper painting took a few years to organise, but I got there in the end. I've had the van for 4 years now and it's getting there! Now I'm trying to decide whether to go for side windows or a sunroof or two...
