The Red Baron
I have
been a member since I had "the Bug" in 1971 after it was given
to me and my wife as a wedding pressie. Wow you would say, rich S.O.A.B.
My dad was a rep for Balkan Bulgarian Airways and since he had a diplomatic
passport we got "The Red Baron" tax exempt. So 28 years later
here we are, still going strong. One clutch cable change in 1976 and
accelerator change in 1977, nothing else. Just going and going and going.
I am one lousy writer, but the new look Wheelspin and new management
is impressive, good luck to all of you and the team.

I also want to say a BIG FAT THANKS to Luke Theochari Of Terrys
Beetles and his Cools Cats that did the "bizzo" on the Red
Baron. They installed a front heated windscreen, an aluminium dash panel
with matching glove box and a complete set of VDO cockpit instruments.
Hooked up my heated rear screen and all sorts of other bits like rear
uprated roll bar etc. I gotta tell ya Luke is a real genius and a true
professional and a hell of a nice guy and Bob and the rest of the Cats.
I proudly have their sticker on my Bug.
I would also recommend "Trigg" of Thingamies Beetles. He's a neighbour of mine and saved my butt last year as "The Baron" had a rear windshield washer fail.
Look I gotta split, you should get a couple more members from me cos I'm getting em in by the droves. Every time they cop sight of the Baron I just let them have the works.
Keep up the good work and keep the legend alive FOREVER!!!
