Total Recall
Over 100,000 new cars were recalled during 1999 to
repair various faults, the highest number since 1995. Ford , whilst having
the largest market share, had the most recalls, with 400,000 vehicles,
including the largest single model recall at 247,000 with the Ford Mondeo.
Second in the league was Volvo, who's major faults included 3,831 cars
being recalled due to fears that the airbags might explode. Third place
went to Renault, fourth went to BMW, followed by Audi, Honda and Ferrari.
Volkswagen, I guess must be somewhere at the bottom of the list. Oh well,
if only everything was as reliable.......
