Beetle Cup Racing Car

Volkswagen Motorsport presented an impressive concept racing car of the New Beetle at the Essen Motorshow, in November.
The racing version of the New Beetle, painted mystic blue with a pearl effect, is 90 mm wider than the standard vehicle and features a special sports suspension with 18 inch light-alloy rims and slick tires.

Further optic features include a front spoiler, widened side sills, a rear wing and an impressive rear body apron. The typical racing cockpit of the concept car features carbon-fibre components, with an interior dominated by the safety roll-cage and racing bucket seat for the driver. A 2.8-litre six-cylinder four-valve engine, with a power output of more than 200 bhp is planned as the power source.
