Autogas - LPG (Liquid Petroleum gas)

After meeting Captain Maurice Seddon, and after a query to the clubs FAQ site I have found this company that can convert your aircooled or watercooled VW to run on liquid petroleum gas.

We can arrange fitting on any of our kits, but each job is priced separate and usually takes 2 to 3 days -dependent on vehicle. We do fitting at our Caernarfon (North Wales) workshop which is equipped with the latest American Sunpro LPG and fuel setting up Equipment; all our installations are carried out to the LPGA code of practice 11 making them safe & legal for use on the road. All our LPG Kits are supplied per vehicle so any combination of engines, carburetor's and injection units can be mixed and match per order and don't forget you can switch from petrol to LPG and back again at anytime. (You can normal start on LPG).

If fitting is required, we have available to us a lovely self-contained static caravan with all mod cons on an old non-working farm which is local to our workshop. An information pack is available with these details and costs for you on request.

We run a selection of vehicles on LPG. The cars are fitted with one of our duel fuel kits that allows us to run on either fuel at any time, all controlled via a simple LED equipped switch mounted in the drivers area. We are due to convert our ´68 & ´67 beetle to LPG when time allows. Other vehicles in our fleet on LPG: -1972 VW variant (air-cooled) 1989 XJ40 Jaguar 4.0i, 1979 XJS V12 Jaguar 5.6 ltr, 1998 Hyundai 1.3i ( plastic manifold !), 1992 1.6L cavalier, 1995 900cc fiat Chinquento, 1997 Fiat Punto (gas injection) 1992 Volvo 960 3ltr, 2.5 ltr VW caravelle (automatic).

We also stock a large selection of parts and spares for LPG and gas installations from rubber piping to gas olives.

We believe in alternative fuels and will attempt to provide to our customers a variety of systems. This enables us to offer choice and be price competitive. We know the importance of reputation and are committed to supplying the latest specification equipment. The ´67' & E regulation covers all equipment even rubber tubes and tank straps. (If the straps in your kits has perforations in then they aren't to the latest European spec!)
