Del's First
Letter
Hi Jackie,
Having
just read your note in May's WS I feel I'd like to do whatever I can
to help the team. I've recently made a career swap giving me extra spare
time to enjoy my favourite hobby "Beetles" !! I've restored
several bugs over the last 15 years, the latest 'GAWSH', along with
the story of his resto-cal conversion, can be seen online at http://www.bicknell.net/gawsh.htm
With the
help of a good friend of mine from Beetlelink (Grant Eagleton) I'm aiming
for GAWSH to win prizes in 2000. I've entered him for the Pride &
Joy at Stonor but there's still small details to improve upon before
he'll take 1st place. I'd be delighted to promote the L&TV club
with any materials you have.
Anyway
the point of my contact is to let you know that I'd like to do more
with my membership and have several proposals to help in various ways.
Just briefly, I'm a certified Webmaster + IT/Communications consultant
and I'd like to offer my services. The family love the sound of the
Runnymead picnic and we're looking forward to our first 99 event. I'd
love to meet and get to know a few people and talk over some ideas.
Who'll be there from the committee ? Will I be able to find you easily
enough ? Regards, Del.
