BEETLE PRODUCTION GUARANTEED UNTIL 2015!

The most exciting news in many years has just come from Volkswagen de Mexico by way of Mexican & Brazilian Beetle Register member Matt Klahn who fives in Houston, Texas. Matt used to work at the factory and still has many friends there. On a recent visit he discovered that production of the air-cooled classic Beetle is to continue until at least 2015. The source of this information was the Export Parts Department within the Pueblo factory.
Every few years, Volkswagen makes an assessment about the future of the Beetle, but with demand for the car still extremely high and still number one in the sales chart for the domestic market, the future for our favourite car is bright indeed. Other VW models have come and gone, but the Beetle - the original Volkswagen - continues to flourish against all the odds and constant predictions of it's imminent demise by the media. In 2015 the Beetle will be able to celebrate its 80th birthday, a record unprecedented in the history of the motor vehicle. At this rate, the Beetle won't just be the Car of the Century, but will be laying a good foundation at having a stab at the next one too!
