Member Clive Jackson contacted the Club Hotline to warn us that, after his windscreen was damaged on the A21, he called out Auto Windscreens. Auto Windscreens are in our Discounts & Contacts List and give a good discount to Club Members as well as being used by many Insurance Companies. However, Clive was told on the roadside that Auto Windscreens do not stock Beetle windscreens! He ended up paying a fortune to get his windscreen fixed and would like all members to be aware!

I contacted Auto Windscreens on 0800 919 700 and spoke to Customer Services. I was told that the availability of Beetle windscreens depended very much on the local area and whether or not there was a warehouse or local fitting centre nearby. However, if Auto Windscreens are called out via your insurance company and they are unable to supply a windscreen for you or "Perspex" it, they would store your vehicle overnight in secure premises, free of charge and fit your windscreen the following day.
