Rad Zeplin

Dear all

Firstly, how are you all, well I hope. Not a lot happening at this end at the moment, too cold, too windy. I have been talking to Paul of Type 3 Detectives (Burwell Cambs) and he said although there's no official club up here, there is a run up here at some time, maybe 12 or so local motor heads up for some fun and games. So if Hampshire and the HHC come to Cambs let us know in advance. Apparently they're into go-karting.

I have enclosed photos, please could you put them with the one of the bus on the web site, it looked so all alone. These pictures were taken at the first London to Brighton run (98). We wanted to get married in a special way, on the sea front, but at 350 we settled for the registry office, but a wonderful day and one even I, being the bloke, will remember with fond memories.

We won VeeDub freaks (one years free subs to Volksworld) . Well sik. We were also on the first run organised by Ocean Sport. The cars the star were there and although I didn't make the interview (probably out of it) if you freeze frame the shot on the beach (buses part) there we are, well Red Zeplin is anyway. We don't have a computer of our own so we have to use the library's (big hint for other non computer lit dubbers out there), and as such we can't use their e-mail, or use it properly anyway. But we do surf.

The bus is called Rad Zep, but that has taken over 5 years to evolve from the Red balloon, Red Zeplin and now Rad Zep. One day it will be painted like WW1 Baron Von Richthofen's Tri wing For you people who know me I now have an elaborate piercing with the VDub logo. For you people who don't, Fitzy and his flunkies labelled me animal last year at Run to the Eclipse - dreads, big alien glasses, you get the picture. I kinda look like Animal from the 70s icon show The Muppets. Anyhow, it's stuck - vwanimal@hotmail.com. Everything at the moment seems to be animal.

I've been with this club some four years and it is now getting there. Lots of hard work from all the boys and girls. I cut out just at the right time or wrong time, depends on which way you look at it, as up until July 99 I lived in London, near Jackie and some of the others. However, a deep rooted urge to become a pagan man sprung up and here I am again living the good life, another 70's icon program (man, I think I'm stuck in a time warp). Anyway, I have a lot of country around me and well I love it, but I do miss the involvement in the club and just popping down isn't really on.

So now I do my bit via the pen, but I would love a computer as I'm left handed and constantly smudge the page, it's so boring. Feel free to issue these photos in the mag, I've got to go and scare the crows off my veg patch.

Love and flowers. Animal, neat kid (the wife), sprogs, Saxon (the dog) and Rad Zep RPG 163L (if you see me, wave).
