Volksworld magazine/Sandown Show 2002
By Derek Griffin
This is the pinnacle of motoring shows during the a VW motoring calendar.
Owners of modified and customised vehicles await it with the eager anticipation.
Though standard Veedubs in various liveries are equally at home here in the heart of a Usher, Surrey; undoubtedly the sparkle and spangle is not lost on the admiring gaze of an envious motoring public, with mandatory cameras all in evidence.
On a bright weekend this superb purpose-built horse racing debut opens its doors to equally keen motoring voyeurs, and what a spring feast for the eyes; so Standard and innovative modified Vee Dubs from splitting vans too heavily breathed on new beetles.

With 80 pPer cent of Volkswagen's conveniently under cover in two large halls this weatherproof spectacle is a must see date for any enthusiast
In its 6th year now at Sandown racecourse, this Volksworld magazine sponsored
venue affords only one VW club to have the luxury of a club stand inside
this vast complex, the London and Thames Valley VW club of course (must
be the committee's natural charm and modesty!)
All the committee members were at Sandown over the March weekend and
if we can make it from afar so can you, the club membership. It is easy
to find just off the M 25 close to Weybridge.

Our club shop had an excellent spread of VW mementoes, and friendly faces
at no extra charge. An excellent opportunity to meet your hard-working
club committee who endeavour to lay it on so you can benefit. Also thanks
to club Wheelspin sponsor and advertiser Steve Moran at West side Motors
in Woodford green, check him out.
