Car fan builds a bigger Beetle

A Volkswagen fanatic has built himself a 20ft stretch Beetle. David Schmid chopped up four of his favourite cars and welded the bits together. It took six months to complete.

Now the 52-year-old from Bath in the south-west of England is renting out the six-seater limousine to wedding couples and for other functions.

Mr. Schmid said: "I came up with the idea as a bit of a joke and you do get some very strange looks. It's been a great success story for me
