My VWs - Mark Russell

Hi, my name is Mark Russell and I live in Mitcham, Surrey with my wife and my two Volkswagen Beetles.

I purchased my first bug, my convertible back at the beginning of 1998, and purchased the semi-automatic from Angela Antoniou in October of 1998. Not only did I buy the Beetle from her, with the monies going towards sponsorship to Cycle across Cuba for the Guide Dogs For The Blind, but I also got cornered into joining ‘The Club.’

As you can see from the photographs, I have worked hard and put a lot of time and money into restoring my convertible, even though it still needs bits and pieces doing to it to bring it up to concourse condition.

The semi-automatic has had a restored engine installed but no work has been carried out on the body work, not yet anyway. I need to save up some more monies…….
